Personal, but it's good.

I know I keep talking about how my mother left today to go back to Qatar, but I can't get over it. I don't feel crazy depressed, I just feel blank and sad. The woman who's given me so much, and always been around, is on her way to somewhere that can only be a phone call away. It does feel like she'll be back in a few days but at some point it will hit me that I won't be seeing her for, what feels like, a million years. 

Like she said, "It had to happen at some point." That's right, independence has no way of softly coming to us. It's something that basically slaps you dead in the face and tells you "get up! You have to keep going!"

For 2 years this is all I could wait for; being home, starting college, gaining independence and respect as another adult. Now that it's starting, I have to be thankful, don't I? I do. 

I believe in order to have the perfect life we all crave, there needs to be small sacrifices. I needed a better education, so i was moved half way across the world. I was blessed with a beautiful relationship, but it's long distance (which i'd never trade anything for. We have one more year then no more long distance!) Now, my mother being endless miles away. In the end, everything is worth it, you can't argue that!

I'm going to grow even more as a person and love every second of it. I couldn't be more blessed, to say the least. The best way to end this summary is with a Thank You, mom.

Shopping online is one of my favorite things to do, because, well..this may shock you, but I don't like to go shopping in malls. I don't trust them sitting in the store, other people may have tried them on (God knows what that fabric has rubbed up against) & I hate taking my clothes off, try on new ones, to put my clothes back on. It's so much faster online! Can i get an agreement? Anyways, here are some things I've picked up that I think are great currently, or things you can have some fun with in the coming seasons.  You can never have too many cardigans! They're one of my favorites for the winter

 Printed pants are such a risk for some people, but they're also one of the most fun pieces! Try it!

 I always loved simple trousers. They're so european. Not super stylish, but good for that Euro-feel

 Like I said, NEVER ENOUGH. Sometimes, just wearing a plain tank with jeans and this with the right accessories can create simple, yet styled. 

 Winter is coming soon! Time to bust out the cute, comfy, soft sweaters!

Winter is personally my favorite season because I feel like it's a time to experiment with different lengths, colors, sweaters, etc. Everything is well priced, too. Happy shopping :)

My General Bun Tutorial!

My friend pushed me to make a tutorial, so here it is. Please excuse the messyness it has, I've never made a video on iMovie before, so there was a few mistakes I didn't know how to get around or clean up, and my voice sounds super deep...Great. I know I haven't been posting much  of anything lately, but here's a quick post! I'm wearing that blush by Smashbox I bought in California. It's honestly my favorite at this point, and i'm wearing the Lip butter by Revlon in Strawberry Shortcake. I love it

Tarina Tarantino Blush Pallet

A new purchase today, well actually yesterday. I bought this originally in Hollywood but returned it today because the original was broken. I love doll-like looks and shimmer, so this was the perfect buy! It's 4 full sized blushes in a good sized pallet. Be careful, though, the texture is very soft and it can break easily. Each of the colors is a different shade of pink/peach with a good amount of shimmer. I swear, you'll love it!

My Newest Editions; Smashbox!

The other day I found this little, but fully reputable, makeup shop that was selling Smashbox cosmetics, so the makeup junkie that I am, I picked up a few things.
I bought 2 lip glosses, a crease brush (which i've been meaning to get for about a year!), & a blush. The shades of the glosses are Afterglow & Fame. Afterglow is a soft, every-day, every-eye shade-kinda color; basically it's a soft peach with some shine. Fame is more of a burnt rose which I wasn't as crazy about. I'd say it's more of a color for the evening or going to a nice dinner, not for going to the club or something like that. But evening shades are always something that's good to have. Right? Of course.
Now for the blush, I absolutely love blush, first of all. I can never find the shades that I really want, though, so I was very excited when I tested this shade. It's called Soft Lights PRISM. If you know me personally, you'll know that I have a doll-like look that I do more times than none, (it must be pretty spot on since I always get compliments that i look like a doll). That being said, it's a very pink, almost shimmery / powder shade. It's hard to explain, but when you put it on, you'll think to yourself "doll." Trust me.


Now, let's get more into a raw, honest review. Personally, overall i'm not the biggest fan of Smashbox. Ever since I can remember, they've just had a very basic, almost essential collection of products. They don't seem to push for creations, or that creative edge that NARS or MAC has. I've read countless reviews on their foundations & primers and in summary to those, many girls said their skin broke out like crazy, or the primers just make their skin soft but doesn't fix the problem like it says it should, so that's disappointing, isn't it? Yes.

In conclusion, i'm happy with the few products I've bought, but I probably won't ever buy more than a lipgloss from Smashbox in the future.

In Redondo Beach, CA for Vacation

It's so different from other parts of California. It's got a more Hippy feel to it. Which is honestly, a nice refreshing break from all the artificial makeup, crazy hair, and clotheless people that walk around Vegas and most other parts of the world.  The personalities of the people are even so kind, and they talk to you like they've known you for years. It's great! The clothes are even so fresh and different. I'm finding it slightly hard to find things that's more my style but some things that i did by, are so great and new.

Another hairstyle.

I took some of my bangs and french braided them, but i didn't do it entirely to the pony tail. The braid started to separate, so i pinned the ends down and then tied it up, leaving some bangs out for a free, more casual look.
